Description
POSITION OVERVIEW: Create and execute consumer marketing initiatives on behalf of clients to obtain new customers, retain existing customers, grow overall revenue and penetrate new verticals to increase customer spend.

• Work closely with clients to understand their consumer marketing needs and goals
• Develop and execute the following campaign types:
o New business campaigns through print and digital initiatives
o Renewal campaigns for both print and digital consumers
o Gift programs to meet clients’ goals
o Additional campaigns based on clients’ needs and revenue generating opportunity
• Analyze report data to provide campaign results; recommend future plan modification
• Collaborate with clients to implement initiatives to bolster Social Media presence and influence
• Review current campaigns and recommend best practices
• Review clients’ marketing campaign packages and recommend alternatives where applicable
• Find cost saving alternatives to current practices
• Design consumer response email campaigns
• Analyze web presence and recommend methods to increase consumer traffic
• Work closely with fulfillment house for appropriate implementation of campaigns
• Communicate with clients’ Third Party vendors when necessary
• Stay current on industry trends in marketing and circulation
• Attend industry events representing Palm Coast Data
• Possess thorough understanding of consumer marketing landscape for content providers
• Provide feedback and recommendations to fulfillment provider to better service clients
• Print procurement of marketing collateral
• Provide best practice assistance with newsstand distribution and placement
• Assist clients’ with forecasting and models

OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other duties as assigned.

• Attributes: Hands, eyes, wrist, fingers, legs, feet, back, and ankles are used in order to perform the essential
responsibilities of this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Remote employment eligible
• On-site meetings, training and presentations required on occasion
• Fact paced production driven environment. Must be able to meet production requirements while attaining top
quality.

Must have access to reliable transportation when needed


Requirements - Education
Four year college degree preferably in marketing, marketing management, business management, or business administration and 5 years relevant experience in consumer marketing preferably in the magazine publishing/circulation or membership industry or an exceptional proven track record with 8+ years experience as noted above in lieu of a four year degree.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Proven track record as a forward thinking, flexible, insightful consumer marketer, preferably with magazine publishers, content providers or membership organizations. Capable of working with multiple clients and multi-tasking many projects at once to meet set deadlines. Grow and manage a team of consumer marketing professionals. Poise and energy when presenting in front of clients and colleagues. Proficient in Microsoft Office software including extensive use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Organized, multi-task oriented, a self starter and able to work well independently. Demonstrable leadership qualities such as, but not limited to: effective people-management, flexibility, communications with peers, ‘energy-creator’, self-starter, and the ability to mindfully prioritize and delegate. Understand and interpret written material, such as: Consumer marketing campaign instructions, reports, component charts and policy tables. Must be able to apply what is learned from written material to specific situations. Ability and comfort engaging with all levels of staff, internally and externally. Willingness to travel and be prepared to work beyond stated business hours. Strong written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Palm Coast Data’s systems, operations, and reports is beneficial. Prior experience with newsstand best practices is beneficial. Prior experience with forecasting and modeling is beneficial. Submission of the framework of a marketing plan and/or a full marketing plan with application is preferred.
