Description
• Troubleshoots set ups on all machinery in the Letter shop including, but not limited to, inserting machines, metering machines, presort machines and
bursting machines.
• Performs preventative maintenance as needed on the above equipment to assure continued operation of machines.
• Maintains high-level EEO and safety awareness, implementing programs, as required.
• Assists in maintaining service records on all Letter shop equipment as directed, alerting superior of any discrepancies or equipment and supplies.
• Prepares requests for tools, equipment, materials and supplies, as needed to maintain the machines.

Performs other duties as assigned.

• Standing for the duration of shift.
• Heavy physical activity (e.g. crawling; lifting up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis; utilizing hand to finger motions, etc.)
• Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
• Attributes: Hands, eyes, wrist, fingers, legs, feet, back, and ankles are used in order to perform the essential responsibilities of this position.


Fact paced production driven environment. Must be able to meet production requirements while attaining top quality.



Requirements - Education
High School Diploma or GED is required. A stable work history is required. High School diploma or equivalent required. Trade and/or equivalent technical school certification in electrical and electronics or mechanical field. Must have (2-4 years) experience in machine maintenance.

Must be able to work safely with and tolerate the use of cleaning solvents, lubricants, degreasers, and similar chemicals and must be multi-tasked oriented and a self-starter. Requires thorough knowledge of a variety of mechanical functions. Must have basic critical thinking and problem solving skills.
