Magazine fulfillment company to service The Atlantic’s 400,000 subscribers

With more than 400,000 subscribers, The Atlantic is national magazine that is a source of opinion, commentary and analysis for America’s most influential individuals who wish to be challenged, informed and entertained.

PCD Signs as Magazine Fulfillment Provider with New Jersey Monthly

Palm Coast, Fla.—April 9, 2009 – Palm Coast Data (PCD) today announced it has signed with New Jersey Monthly as its magazine fulfillment provider.

As the magazine fulfillment provider for New Jersey Monthly, PCD will provide front-end processing, customer service, internet and mailing services and detailed reporting for the magazine’s 70,000-plus subscribers.

PCD expands educational opportunities for account managers

Latest course offers extensive examination of magazine circulation operations

Palm Coast, Fla.- March 16, 2009 – Palm Coast Data, one of the  nation’s leading subscription and membership fulfillment service providers, continues to exhibit its commitment to its employees growth and knowledge with its latest offering for account managers in the form of a class—“Magazine Circulation Operations & Overview,” taught by industry veteran James M. Borth, who has previously offered this course at New York University.

Borth, who has more than 30 years experience in publishing and circulation, designed the course to enable account managers at PCD to better understand the role of Circulation within magazine publishing and how it interacts with editorial, advertising and production. The course provides intense examination of the methods of consumer marketing for acquiring and retaining circulation; and a deeper understanding of the operational metrics and financial implications of source development.

Borth’s multiple session course explores the management and operations of key functions within magazine publishing, providing critical examination to the acquisition and retention of subscriptions, ratebase strategies and managing various subscription sources for economic optimization. It also explores the myriad of challenges within circulation and publishing, including risk assessment, budgeting and planning.

Borth lends deep knowledge of the publishing industry to the Palm Coast Data course. His experience includes serving as the general manager for the popular Sporting News Magazine, as well as holding the position of founding executive of Dennis Publishing, the publisher of Maxim, Stuff, Blender and The Week. During his tenure, Maxim and Stuff became explosives brands with readers and circulation in the millions. Prior to joining Dennis Publishing, Borth was the group circulation director for Cahners Publishing Co., a business unit of Reed-Elsevier. He was responsible for the development of circulation for 22 publications. From 1985 to 1991, he was the vice president of client relations at Curtis Circulation Co., the largest national distributor of periodicals in the U.S. Prior to that, Borth held circulation positions at U.S. News & World Report and CBS Magazines.

Industry veteran McCarthy joins Palm Coast Data

Will lead Custom Solution Services sales and marketing effort

Palm Coast, FL (January 20, 2009) Palm Coast Data announced today that Paul McCarthy has joined the company to head up the sales and marketing effort for Custom Solution Services (CSS), a new offering that provides specialized fulfillment solutions to publishers and membership organizations.

In his new role as VP Marketing, CSS, Mr. McCarthy will have responsibility for a wide range of areas, including expanding the company’s presence within the membership sector, client needs assessment, technology transformation, project management and client relationship management.

“Paul has the results-oriented, performance-driven skill set we were looking for,” said John Meneough, Palm Coast Data’s president. “Plus, his impressive technology background and the ability to relate complex issues clearly will serve him well. We’re very pleased that Paul is coming on board.”

Mr. McCarthy is a graduate of Arizona State University and a 23-year veteran of the fulfillment industry, primarily with CDS, where he held a variety of executive IT and marketing support positions.
